Fresh Perspectives on Mansfield Park

October 27-29, 2006, Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, Tucson, Arizona

The Southern Arizona Region of JASNA was the host, in Tucson, for the 2006 Annual General Meeting, where the theme was “Fresh Perspectives on Mansfield Park” exploring Jane Austen’s most controversial novel.

The program had something for everyone: thought-provoking lectures and breakout sessions, special-interest workshops, entertainments and diversions, a Regency Masked Ball, and more. And then there’s the location.Convening at a resort rather than a downtown hotel offered unique advantages, including opportunities to enjoy vibrant sunsets, mountain and city views, and the serenity of the southwestern desert.

Although this AGM predates the formation of JASNA Greater Phoenix, many of our members attended. Below are some photos kindly shared by Carole Penfield Krowne. Click on the first photo to scroll through the gallery.
