We tapped our toes to Bach and Joplin. We were amazed at Mozart, who wrote for the French horn (which isn’t really French). We swayed to Strauss, but not that Strauss. This one, Franz by name, was the father of Richard of Blue Danube fame. Franz was a virtuoso horn player. Hear one of his most difficult and romantic works for horn and piano. Jane Austen’s “darling child,” Pride and Prejudice, was depicted in three musical selections from the 2005 film adaptation. And you we had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for baskets with great services and products, all for a good cause: the building fund for the new St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, to have fun and to do good at the same time. Four of our members, in addition to Paula and Sara, were among the crowd.
